CLASSES

About 

Astanga yoga is a practice that involves learning the 8 limbs of yoga. Yama, niyama, asana (posture), pranayama,
pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi. It is important to practice each limb of yoga as they are interconnected.

​Practise is passed onto the student from teacher and starts with asana or posture to help externally
and internally cleanse the mind and body through vinyasa (movement and breathe system). 
​Commitment to practice is especially therapeutic.

MYSORE STYLE CLASSES

*Please note - Teaching starts at 6.30am. 

Classes are taught in 6 week blocks then 2 weeks reflection period. Classes that fall on moon days will be silent meditation sittings. The dates for each block will be in the bi-monthly newsletter. New students attending AYSC are welcome to start in the middle of a block and passes will be amended as needed.

One hour - $100
One hour and fifteen minutes - $125
One and a half hour - $145
Travel cost - $20 - $40

​Class costs are for 45 minute to 1 hour and 15 minute duration 
​depending on your practice experience. ​​

Moon days

Rest is recommended on moon days.  Full moon and new moon.
This is due to creating a balance of energy and the connection
​to nature the practice of astanga yoga creates within oneself.
